As explained in the earlier sections of this site the main stream media will not expose the truth. Exposing the TRUTH would result in a reduced income stream hence no media company will do that. This fact is clearly demonstrated with no media company ever delving into the root causes of the high cost of US medical care. Yes, they are going up; we all know that – but WHY?

The politicians are in the same boat with the media with only a handful of exceptions. They receive financial support from the very companies that they regulate.
The public be damned.

The following media companies have not demonstrated any willingness to expose the truth.

On March 31, 2008 for example, they ran a full page ad for Lipitor at a substantial cost to its manufacturer Pfizer and subsequently to you the consumer.

AARP and its front “divided we fail”.
In case nobody noticed, the AARP markets all kinds of health plans for the insurance industry and if the AARP were to present the truth all this advertising and marketing revenue would dry up. The AARP is about as phony as a counterfit 3 dollar confederate bill. It is milking the elderly for the benefit of the insurance industry in the same fashion as any dishonest home improvement contractor scams the elderly.

The only honest reporting is provided by NPR and PBS since they do not depend on funding from corporate interests.

It was interesting to note an ABC News report quoting Reuters on Apr 1, 2008 that a study by Indiana University School of Medicine showed a vast majority of doctors now support a national health insurance plan. It’s too bad the politicians lack the integrity and the intelligence to get on board with common sense thinking.
